Opera and Orchestra’s Summer Music Course is based on Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Nights Dream and will include original music composed by Marisa Cornford (she is having two of the songs from the score performed at the Globe on the South Bank this March).
It is particularly suitable for young instrumentalists and singers as well as actors and dancers. The course will take place at Jack Windmill near Brighton where the old grain house has been turned into a space designed specifically for musical performances. It is constructed almost entirely of wood, so anticipate the prospect of a wonderful acoustic!
The old Windmill sits at a wonderful vantage point looking down on the Sussex Downs which will provide a picturesque and magical backdrop for the production.
