Garsington Opera are producing a new People’s Opera called Silver Birch – a family opera (for ages 8 plus), which will be performed at the extraordinary Wormsley Estate on 28, 29 & 30 July. It’s a beautiful modern tale of love and war performed by a cast of over 150 local people and a team of professional singers & orchestra.
The company will be hosting workshop auditions this Saturday 7th January at Cressex Community School, High Wycombe and full details about the auditions can be downloaded HERE.
As some people may have Saturday morning commitments, the company are offering up a late audition slot during the afternoon.
The Youth Company rehearsals are mainly during holiday time with some weekends in July then a heavier commitment nearer the performance dates. This should also fit in with university terms so please do spread the word to any older/former students.
The company are also recruiting dancers/gymnasts (hip-hop/street/parkour/modern) and have an amazing choreographer in the team who worked on the London Olympics.
